Birds of Paradise Quilt

This gorgeous appliqué quilt belongs to Lesley.  She completed it in a class with Anthea Bradley.

Lesley’s appliqué is the highlight of this quilt and we wanted to keep my quilting unobtrusive to make the appliqué shine and pop.  So we chose a simple meander around the appliqué.

On the plain corners of the border I quilted a simple floral motif in keeping with the appliqué.

Visit Esther's Blog to see what other quilter are up to this Wednesday.

  9. What a stunning quilt. Thank you for sharing your customers' quilts. They give me terrific art appreciation break moments in my heavy-duty reading as well as inspire me to do work on my own projects. Your quilting is also building my personal desire to branch out and try bigger and better things with my own quilting! Thanks, Desley. :)
