Paul and I flew up to Sydney for the weekend. We went to see Mary Poppins at the Capitol Theatre on the Saturday night, but the highlight of the weekend, and the primary reason for the trip, was to go to the Quilt Show.
There were many beautiful quilts, and over the next few posts I would like to share some with you that I found particularly appealing.
This stunning quilt by Helen Godden had me spellbound. These are only a fraction of the photos I took. It was made from one piece of black fabric, and it was painted and quilted.
That first quilt is super cool!
ReplyDeleteFreedom quilt is just beyond words. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow,wow, wow!!! The Freedom quilt is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteHelen Godden has done it again. That is the most amazing quilt. She is such a talented woman.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think "Freedom" is my favorite quilt that I've even seen. I sure would love to see it in real life!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular quilts!Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me that the little white quilt with the black hand print was intended as an illustration of why we shouldn't touch the quilts, & wasn't someone's accident! It made my stomach do a flip-flop when I saw it!
Yes Deb, the mini quilt was a don't touch the quilts sign.
