Art Deco Quilt

What a striking quilt! Made by Ann as a present for her son, he picked the quilt from the book Design Art Deco Quilts by Don Linn.



Unfortunately the book didn’t have the pattern for this particular quilt in it. So Ann had to draft the entire quilt just from the picture. I think she did an amazing job.


Ann wanted the quilting as close as possible to how it was done in the book, and I really enjoyed working on a quilt so unusual.


The back is also lovely.

    That's a really, really cool quilt! She did a great job, and your quilting is perfect on it. How strange for a cover project to not be included in the book!

    That is a really cool quilt and I'm sure her son will love it! Now you have me thinking... my son's high school colours are red and black and a quilt like that would make a great grad gift in a few years!

    I recognised this quilt as soon as I saw it because I have this book and studied Art Deco with the Waverley Art Quilters. You have both done a wonderful job.
