This gorgeous quilt was made by Sue. This is the first quit that Sue had brought
me, and she asked me to go to town with the quilting on the white borders. I was very happy to oblige.
I quilted feathers, curved cross hatching and straight lines
to break up the areas on the borders.
A plain white fabric on the back was perfect for showing up
all the quilting.
You do such beautiful work!!!

ReplyDeleteDeeee-licious!! : )
ReplyDeleteWow -- spectacular! I have a hard time leaving open space for special quilting because, when I'm making the top and it's just plain flat fabric, it looks so blah that I chicken out and put in a print instead. But then I see a masterpiece like this one and it reminds me to "leave open spaces for the quilting!" A beautiful job, by both of you!
ReplyDeleteIt is really a work of art: the quilt itself is so intricate, and your quilting just makes it sing!
