This striking quilt was made by Andi as a present for her husband.
As Andi didn’t want contrasting thread colour on either the black or white, she requested that I quilt it with two thread colours. It was quilted with an open loop pattern.
I love how the centre of the quilt really draws the eye.
awesome job, reminds me of the twist on bargello quilts, I love making those, but never thought of blwoack and white, that would be stunning like this one
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome quilt! Love it! Did you have to start and stop with each color?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. i can't tell from the photo. is the black quilted at all?

Phenomenal quilt! Well done Andi and well done you for quilting it without tripping out. That's some optical illusion you've got going on!
ReplyDeletethat is a very interesting quilt! Is the back quilting black and white as well?
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool optical illusion that the black and white design creates. Your lucky the colors are touching or that would be a lot of stops and starts. Great job!
ReplyDeleteSorry it has taken me a long time to find this post Desley.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your beautiful quilting and thanks to your readers for the nice comments.
Andi :-)
