Two more quilts made from Janet Sansom’s embroidery designs. I think both of these are very pretty. Quilted with outlining on the embroidery blocks, and a combination of feathers or flowers.
This is my favourite embroidery block on this quilt.
And the second quilt.
They are both beautiful - are they machine embroidered?
ReplyDeleteJanet always makes such pretty quilts and your quilting give it just the right finishing touch. What kind of batting did you used?
ReplyDeleteWell don't those just scream SPRING?! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful embroidery and the quilting is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are machine embroidered, and Janet will have them available at her web site soon.
ReplyDeleteThe batting in both quilts is Matilda's Own 60% Wool, 40% Poly. This is my favourite batting.
Beautiful quilts ....very sweet looking
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts Desley, as usual, you've really done amazing quilting.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job. I always feel sad when I see quilts with embroidery/ stitchery that have quilting all over the designs.
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job.
Thank you so much for posting these, Desley. Your beautiful quilting surely provides a delightful haven from the challenges we face elsewhere.
