Pam’s House Quilt

This sweet quilt was made by Pam using both needle turn and blank stitch appliqué. 

I did small meandering on the background and outlined a lot of the appliqué so the houses pop.  I especially love the colours. 

Embroidery and Feathers

Yet another of Janet Sansom’s beautiful embroidery quilts. 

I liked the straight lines I did on the wide sashing on Marion’s quilt and decided to do it again on Janet’s.  The area between the lines was wider so I did a more freeform feather that matched the feathers I did in the setting triangles and border.

The back really shows the quilting and the outlining of the embroidery.
