Modern Appliqué

I really enjoyed quilting this striking quilt for Leanne.  The fabrics and textures were modern and refreshing, and it is going to be a wall hanging.

I quilted two background fillers, double loops with a diagonal stripe of a small zig zag, which I call “maze”.  The effect is subtle, but I like the contrast and interest it creates.  I also feel the Windmill flowers in the border really suit the feel of the quilt.

  3. I really like how you used the Maze design across the quilt and across the different background fabrics.I wish I could think out of the box like that.
Mary is right ....I know I'll be sketching out your Windmill flowers on paper later :)
