I really enjoyed quilting this striking quilt for Leanne. The fabrics and textures were modern and refreshing, and it is going to be a wall hanging.
I quilted two background fillers, double loops with a diagonal stripe of a small zig zag, which I call “maze”. The effect is subtle, but I like the contrast and interest it creates. I also feel the Windmill flowers in the border really suit the feel of the quilt.
I like your wall hanging. It's very nice
ReplyDeleteWow, it's great!
ReplyDeleteWow! How refreshing...both the quilting designs that you chose as well as the quilt! So different! I think we will be seeing lots of these ideas from other quilters who admire your work.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful Quilt.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you used the Maze design across the quilt and across the different background fabrics.I wish I could think out of the box like that.
ReplyDeleteMary is right ....I know I'll be sketching out your Windmill flowers on paper later :)
More incredible work from you! You have such a talent at matching the quilting to the personality of the quilt. I love checking in to see what you've done next!

Do you perhaps know the name of the applique pattern?
Thank you for sharing!

I love the subtle colors of this quilt. And your two fillers are very nice. They add an interest. Another idea that I'll have to try sometime.
