This quilt is also from Janet Sansom. She wanted feathers in the sashing. I liked the curve of the embroidery in the
block and decided to imitate it.
I did this by randomly chalking in the boundary between the
feathers in each sashing piece. I was
thinking as I quilted it that it reminded me of Dr Seuss’ illustrations.
I have linked to Esther’s Blog for her WOW = WIPs On
Wednesdays.
What a cool effect.
ReplyDeleteFabulous as always. A stunning quilt and beautiful quilting you inspire me. Lovely to see you back again. One day when I finish my Hearts Desire, I would love you to bring it alive. Cheers Glenda
ReplyDeleteI never thought of doing the feathers half and half like this, one side going up and another side down, genius!!
ReplyDeleteLove how you did the feathers around the block, just beautiful. That is an incredible quilt and your quilting made it a masterpiece. Brilliant.
