A traditional medallion quilt by Michelle Yeo. I ditch stitched the seams, and placed a feather
wreath on each of the unpierced squares.
I like how the circular quilting softens the squareness of the piecing.

Scotchman's Creek Trail
I still have a way to go, and my ankle still swells up every
day, and aches when I do too much. I still
don’t have the balance I used to have so need to be very careful as I walk, and
I have to walk slower than I used to. But
I am making progress. I have been told
by both my doctor and my physio that this type of injury takes around eighteen
months to fully recover from, so I am trying to be patient.
I am very lucky to live in Melbourne where there are some great walking
trails. Today Paul and I decided to walk
along the Scotchman’s Creek Trail. My longest
walk since my injury which I did last weekend was 7.5kms, and as today’s walk
was fairly flat, I wanted to walk at least 8kms. I ended up walking nearly nine and a half
kilometres.
The Scotchman’s Creek Trail is one I haven’t done in several
years and is a lovely walk along the creek, at one stage going under the Monash
Freeway through a long tunnel.

Diamond Quilt
This quilt was made by Ina.
There are so many fabrics in the diamonds, and they all blend beautifully.
It was quilted with my freehand feather plume on the
diamonds. In the centre I outlined the appliqué
and then quilted feathers around it.
The outer border I ditch stitched and put little feathers in
the setting triangles.

Mini Embroidery Quilt
Janet Sansom made a mini version of one of her embroidery
quilts and I had fun quilting it with feathers and little double pebbles.

Large Appliqué Quilt
This gorgeous and very large appliqué quilt was made by
Margaret, and it was a pleasure to quilt.
I have linked to Esther’s Blog for her WIP on Wednesdays.

Another Rose Square
Maria made my Rose
Square quilt.
I really like the fabrics she chose which give it a fun and funky feel.
We discussed the possibility of custom quilting, but after
weighing up the options, Maria chose to have me quilt my freehand allover
feather plume pattern on her quilt, which I think looks fantastic on the open
areas.
It doesn’t really show in the photos, but the thread was a
light lime green which showed subtly, and really complimented the quilt.

Lots of Stars
This is Barbara’s quilt.
It is a Jinny Byer block of the month.
Barbara said she learnt a lot making all the different stars, and she
did an amazing job of piecing the quilt.
Barbara chose to have my freehand allover feather plume pattern
on her quilt. It was quilted in a dark
blue thread which blended really well and didn’t distract from the fabrics.
